* (Edward Cliff) José do Nascimento foi descoberto na Rádio Tupy por Antônio Aguilar em 1966. Foi o próprio Aguilar quem o batizou inicialmente de Giancarlo e o levou para uma apresentação de muito sucesso no programa de TV do Chacrinha, que acabou lhe rendendo um contrato para a gravação de um LP pela Copacabana Discos.

Em meados dos anos 70 trocou seu nome para “Edward Cliff” e gravou com produção de Mickael seu maior sucesso “Nights Of September” de autoria de D. Rush e M. Davis.
